PROPOS D'INTRODUCTION DU MINISTRE DE LA JUSTICE ET DE LA SÉCURITÉ PUBLIQUE LORS DE LA 45e ASSEMBLÉE PLÉNIÈRE DU CARIBBEAN FINANCIAL ACTION TASK FORCE (GAFIC) À PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD / 29 MAI 2017

Thank you Madam Chair,

Firstly, I would like to thank the CFATF Secretariat along with the Authorities from Trinidad and Tobago for hosting these plenary meetings and for the accommodating all delegates here in attendance accordingly.

At my level and in my capacity of Minister of Justice and Public Security, I am here in these premises to express again the utmost commitment of Haiti in the fight again money laundering and terrorist financing. Most importantly, the Government that I represent is keen to implement all the FATF recommendations in a comprehensive manner. We have lately initiated a more sustainable national coordination which led to concrete results not only at the legislative level, but also at the regulator and administrative level.

I now introduce Mr. Maxime Charles as a member of the National Anti-Money Laundering Committee for more details on the progress made by Haiti during the last six (6) months.

Merci Madame la Présidente, 

Tout d'abord, je voudrais remercier le Secrétariat du GAFIC ainsi que les Autorités de Trinité et Tobago qui reçoivent cette plénière et pour l'accueil donné aux délégations. 

À mon niveau et en tant que Ministre de la Justice et de la Sécurité Publique, je voudrais réitérer l'engagement d'Haïti à combattre le blanchiment d'argent et le financement du terrorisme. En outre, le Gouvernement que je représente tient à mettre en œuvre toutes les recommandations du GAFI de manière efficiente. Nous avons initié une coordination nationale soutenue en ce sens en vue d'atteindre des résultats concrets tant au niveau législatifs que réglementaires et administratifs.

J'introduis pour cela M. Maxime Charles, membre du CNLBA qui fournira plus de détails sur les progrès effectués par Haïti durant les (6)derniers mois.
